Hello All,
I'm a HANA newbie and currently we are implementing HP Data Protector integration using backint.
We were used to backup our oracle database with Data Protector and the strategy was to make an incremental backup once a week and archive logs backups 3 to 4 times a day, so oracle saved the archive logs to disk and each time Data Protector backup was run it would backup de logs and then cleanup the backed up log's.
But for HANA after making the implementation we found out that each time a log file is made in HANA it would call the Data Protector Integration and make a tape backup, so our Backup Library kept running and running... so our library became unavailable for any other backup.
We would like to now if there is any way to make HANA Backup to behave like our old Oracle Backup?
By this I mean that HANA would somehow write logs to disk and copy them to tape using Data Protector Integration and after copying them clean up the disk so we could run backups a few times a day.
Any help would be thankfull.
