SAP NW 7.40 ABAP as Non-Unicode system

Hi Experts,

As per the FIORI Compatibility, I need to install the NW 7.40 ABAP Stack(Gateway server i.e. Front end server) as a Non-unicode system. But all the NW 7.1 to 7.5 new installation support only Unicode system only.

I am following this method for installation, Please confirm this right method or not

1.) First installed NW ABAP Stack 7.0 system as Non-Unicode.

2.) Using the SUM Tool, I have to upgrade the NW 7.0 to NW 7.40 as  a NON-Unicode system.
