My apologies if this has specifically been asked and answered, I could not find an answer, either in the forums or in the documentation.
I have Crystal Server 2013 and Crystal Reports 2013. My database is MS SQL Server, 2008 R2.
I created a Stored Procedure that takes 2 date parameters. If one or both of the parameter values are Null then the procedure sets the dates as the first and last day of the previous month.
If I run the procedure in MS SSMS, where I created it, and pass in Null values, the procedure sees that they are Null and acts accordingly, generating a table result.
If I create a report in Crystal Reports that uses this stored procedure, if I pass in Null values the same thing, it works.
If I then create a Report Document in Crystal Server Central Management Console (CMC):
- set the parameters to Null AND run it NOW, it works.
- But, if I set the defaults to Null and run it NOW without setting the parameters (expecting the default NULLS to be passed), I get no data.
- If I set a recurring schedule and even though I set the parameters to NULL, I still get no data.
I have to be able to configure the report to run on a schedule with Null parameters passed in so the procedure will correctly set the dates each month.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem?
I appreciate any help I can get.
Thank you,
Paul
