Problems running NWBC 5.0 with .NET Framework 4.6

After installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6, NWBC 5.0 displays the Fatal Error, "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 is not installed.  Please contact your administrator." 

I have confirmed that I have a valid .NET Framework 4.6 installation and that the appropriate registry keys for identifying the .NET Framework version are populated.

Is anyone aware of a solution to this problem?
