Display images via CRUFLs and why does the UFL assembly not get updated at times?

Hello,

This is a two part question:

1. Is there in-built support in CRUFLs(via u2l2com.dll) to get images displayed directly in Crystal Reports?

    And if what are the return types allowed for the UFL functions? And is there any limit on the number of functions or any restrictions on the signature of the functions; which could be exposed via this method?

2. Why do the assemblies not get updated at times; this is happening on a random basis; sometimes the whole "COM and .NET UFLs(u212com.dll)" node disappears from the Additional Functions?
