Please allow me to tell you an issue which I am recently facing.The scenario is like below:
Employee Joins at the organization on 01.04.2014. We did the joining action and the payroll area is XX. We also maintained cost center C1 from 01.04.2014 to 31.12.9999 in IT0027.
This employee is supposed to get transfer on 12.04.2014 to a new location and by doing so we need to change the IT0027 with C2 and run Transfer action. We did. So there are 2 entries in IT0027 one from 1st April to 11th April with C1 and another one from 12th April to 31.12.9999 with C2. And there is a split in IT0001 as like IT0027. So far no issue.
In this process I noticed that system is actually allowing me to change the Payroll area from XX to XY (new payroll area of the new Subarea maintained in feature ABKRS) in the mid of the payroll period. Strange!!!!
It should not have allowed me to do so. Please let me know what might be the probable reason for that?
If I execute payroll with payroll area XX, I am getting only prorated salary from 1st April to 11th April and if I execute payroll with payroll area XY, I am getting prorated value from 12th April to 30th April. But client's requirement is that if transfer is happening before15th of the month, then entire cost will be incurred from new location i.e. cost center C2 and payroll area XY.
Please let me know how to cater the particular requirement and why the system is allowing me to change payroll area in mid month?
